About Our Organizations
The Latin American Network for Research in Energy and Vehicles (RELIEVE) connects universities and companies focused on energy and the environment and helps decision makers reduce the environmental impacts of energy use through collaboration of research, scientific exchange, and workforce development.
The Sustainable Energy Research Group is a multidisciplinary team composed of professors with doctoral degrees, specialists in diverse branches of engineering and environmental science, and undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students who collaborate to foster an environment of learning, innovation, and knowledge transfer with a positive impact on industry and society. The group is dedicated to accelerating the transformation of energy-consuming activities toward net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by driving the energy transition through innovative solutions in electrical, chemical, and thermal energy systems. Its research and development efforts focus on sustainably powering key sectors such as transportation, industry and manufacturing, buildings, and agriculture, with the overarching goal of reducing environmental impact, promoting economic growth, and improving the quality of life in the communities it serves.
The Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis (ITS-Davis) is the world’s leading academic center for sustainable transportation. Our mission is to serve the needs of society and promote a more effective, sustainable, and equitable transportation system.
The Sac Metro Air District is responsible for advancing the greater capital region towards meeting all national ambient air quality standards and state and national decarbonization commitments for the protection of the global climate. Our vision is clean air and a low-carbon future for all.
